The Purpose of Yedidim of Israel
Yedidim of Israel began in 2003 as a consequence of Sec. State Colin Powell taking Condoleezza Rice's "Five Point Road Map to Peace Plan" to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in her effort to give Gaza and the Shomron back to the 'so-called' Palestinians."
Dr. Jim Vineyard, concurrently then Pastor of Windsor Hills Baptist Church could easily see that the "curses" of Genesis 12:3 and Joel 3:2 would fall into place for all Americans if the foolhardy plan of "land for peace" was to carry through.
Yedidim of Israel began, initially, as an "Educationally Based Organization" to bring the World's Independent Baptist Christians up to speed concerning the folly of the Flynnt Leveret, Jim Baker Public Policy Institute "Road Map" [so-called] peace plan.
Dr. Vineyard raised the money and placed a number of full page ads in the Washington Times Newspaper in an effort to get the attention of US Senators and Congresspersons, as well, in the Jerusalem Post, to get the attention of the Members of the Knessett.
During the 2006 2nd Lebanon War, Churches of the Independent Baptist persuasion raised money for the poor Jews in Northern Israel who were too poor to go south out of the range of Hizballah's Katyusha rockets falling on Northern Israel. Pastor Vineyard took that money to those poor Jews and was in country, up north, while the deadly Katyusha rockets were falling all around him.
It was on that trip that "ole JAV", as he likes to call himself, saw the Paladin 155 Artillery Units shooting at Hizballah in Lebanon, and fed five of them their first hot meal since the war commenced July 12, 2006.
Through that connection Jim Vineyard has become very good friends with the 402nd Artillery Battalion, the 405th Artillery Brigade, the Givati Brigade, Egoz Special Forces, the Reserve Officers Training School, the Combat Command College [General Kuki Barel,] former Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, who now is Vice Prime Minister, Major General Udi Adam, Major General Yoav Golant and Major General Tal Russo.
In 2009, 2010, and 2011, Yedidim of Israel has raised considerable funding for the Givati Brigade to do nice things for the families of the 197 Soldiers the Brigade has had killed in action.
Yedidim of Israel has put nine container libraries in IDF units and placed thousands of Parallel Bibles in those containers. The Parallel Bible is only the Old Testament in the King James Version on one side and Hebraica Leningradensia Biblica on the other side. All we are attempting to do thusly is get the Hebrews to read their own Scriptures!
